traverse

Also called: traversing

The chain of calls walked end-to-end to draw the boundary.

The sequence of connected legs that forms the boundary. Running a traverse means converting each call into a north/east offset and adding them up in order. A traverse that begins and ends at the same corner is a closed traverse.
